There are approximately 4.8 kilometers of well marked trails for you to walk and enjoy the outdoors. Here are a few photo's of today's fun.
This beautiful trail is located at the end of Brule Street in North Bay. The trail loops through Laurier Woods, which consists of approximately 118 acres of moderately undisturbed upland forest and wetlands habitat. This combination of forest and wetlands provides a variety of habitat for wildlife. This area is outstanding for bird-watching, with 33 bird species nesting in the woods. The trail offers a great escape from the City, within the City, and is managed by the Friends of Laurier Woods in partnership with the North Bay-Mattawa Conservation Authority.
Here's a video of the lookout we found, great for viewing the many different bird species located in this wetland.
