I just wanted to say that I would give anything to take that ride with you but my wife and I will be in Tennessee during your visit.
I live in North Bay. I turned 60 last month and bought my first bike (a scooter) two years ago. This past January I went down to the bike show at the International Centre in Mississauga and purchased a 2000 Yamaha 1100 V-star.
This is my first "real" bike ever and I wish I had taken the plunge earlier in life and listened to my neighbour who wanted me to ride. My whole story is elsewhere on the site somewhere.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I can relate to all you wrote about the toys, etc. and us old guys getting back into the good times.
My wife is not the least bit interested in bikes or riding but I am having an absolute blast and get out every chance I get. I take the long way home after work each day I ride the bike in and it is such a great stress breaker.
Anyway, good luck to you and I truly hope.....no I should say that I know somebody will jump at the chance. Hell you might end up with more "company" than you expected and it turn into a fun ride.
