Charity Information:
National Service Dogs is…“enriching the quality of life and enhancing the independence of children and families living with autism and special needs.” Specially trained autism service dogs keep children safe, reduce anxiety levels and bring greater freedom to the entire family.
As a non-profit Registered Charity, NSD relies entirely on funding from the general public, community service clubs, corporate sponsors and community based foundations and fundraising events. It costs National Service Dogs $30,000 to breed, raise, train, place and provide annual follow-up and re-certification testing over the 7-9 year working life of a service dog.
