Ride because you can, Escape on your bike for a 2 week ride

We are a Kingston, ON couple who are stressed out from life's day to day struggles and are planning on getting on our Harley's and taking off for the first 2 weeks of July, 2011.

We are making NO Reservations and we are Not setting any Time Limitations. I am riding a 2002 Harley-Davidson, Heritage Springer that I have customized and added a HD Detachable Tour Pak and a set of matching aftermarket Lowers to assist me with carrying the necessities for a two week road trip.

My wife is riding her 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL 883. The Sportster has been customized for looks, performance and sound but also is equipped with saddle bags and an aftermarket, expandable sissy bar bag so she can also carry her share of the load. Since we will be riding on Ontario's highways and may be forced to ride through rain and bugs, we have decided to attach our windshields for this road trip.

It would be great if there were other people, especially couples (but not necessary) who are able and willing to take two weeks out of their busy and hectic lives to escape to the freedom that riding motorcycles gives and to the camaraderie that riding with a group of motorcycle enthusiasts brings us.

We plan on leaving from Kingston, ON on Canada Day, Friday July 1st bright and early in the morning and returning on Thursday or Friday, July 15th just in time to attend Rosies Rodeo and Roast that is held in Camden East Ontario.

Rosies Rodeo is an all biker camping weekend that is by far one of Ontario's best events for bikers. The event goes on rain or shine, attracts riders from all over Canada and USA and offers great camping, great nightly entertainment, excellent vendors, superb on and off your bike games and a complimentary pig roast on Saturday evening.

We are planning on heading east toward Quebec's Gaspesie Peninsula and riding as far as we can without making ourselves sore. We will stop when we are tired, eat when we are hungry, sleep when we find a place to stop for the night and take as many pictures and see as many sights as we can without interrupting our ride. There are hundreds of bed and breakfasts, hotels and cottages for rent along the shores of Gaspesie so we will never find ourselves without a nice place to stop, shower, eat and get a good sleep. There are also many different trails available for us to ride that will provide us with all the photo opportunities we can imagine, from natural scenery to whale and seal watching.
