Ride for Dog Guides!
Lions Foundation of Canada's mission is to assist Canadians with a medical or physical disability by providing them Dog Guides at no cost.
To do this, the Foundation operates Dog Guides Canada, a preeminent national training school and charity that assists individuals with disabilities through five specialized Dog Guide programs.
Canine Vison, Hearing, Special Skills, Seizure Response and Autism Assitance Dog Guides. These Dog Guides are provided at no cost to eligible Canadians from coast to coast. The Foundation relies on donations from individuals, service clubs, foundations and corporations and does not receive any government funding.
Join Lions Foundation of Canada, for our annual "Ride for Dog Guides", a national fundraising event specially catered to Motorcyclists. Ride for Dog Guides was first started by the Saltwater Retreads and the Enfield/Elmsdale Lions Clubs in Nova Scotia. Now offered in more communities and growing each year, proceeds from all locations go to support the Dog Guide programs at Lions Foundation of Canada.
Though each Ride for Dog Guides varies in what activities are involved, most follow a scenic pre-arranged route and offer refreshments, incentives and prizes and often include a Poker Run component. Thank you to everyone who participated in previous years by collecting pledges, making a donation, or just coming out in support of the Ride for Dog Guides.
Please join us in Wasaga Beach on Saturday, June 16th and
