Good comment about snow/winter: if I didn't have all this Winter on my hands, my bike would never get properly maintained.
Bringing Bertha in off the road for the season is the perfect time (read ONLY time) for me to give it the singular COMPREHENSIVE once-over wash, polish, mechanical checkup, add accessories, install plugs, air cleaners etc. (Now with synthetic oil, this has even become my "once annual" oil change time!)Who wants to waste precious riding weather to do all that?
There's those that like to show and those that like to go......I've never much figured out a happy medium. In the summer, if the bike's clean enough to throw my leg over, I'm outta here!
