Why do the Orangeville Knights of Columbus put on this event?
Members of our Council, supported by our families, put in hundreds of hours to host this event in order to raise funds for a local family in our community who's daughter has inspired not only our members but
our community. Half of the net proceeds from this event is donated to the Kaitlin Bolton Sunshine Fund. The remaining net proceeds are donated to other causes supported by our Council.

What is the Kaitlin Bolton Sunshine Fund?
Kaitlin, 16 years old at the time of the ride, was diagnosed in Grade 1 with a progressive debilitating disease which breaks down the myelin sheath that coats the brain. She has lost the ability to walk & talk. She communicates by blinking her eyes. There is a strong probability that she will eventually loose her sight and hearing.

A Guelph pediatrician monitors her general health and progress, while an American biochemist travels from Arizona at least twice a year to see her. Consequently her medical expenses are substantial and are borne solely by the Bolton family as there is no government financial support
