Be Cool And Ride Safe
We welcome all riders to join us for GlobalMedic’s inaugural Support Ride on July 11, 2010!
The day will be full of prizes, great food, and a fantastic route. Registration starts at 7:30 am, opening ceremonies at 8:40 am, and the ride begins at 9:00 am. We first head towards Oakville. This is also the first location where you can get one of your poker hands. Remember to get one hand at each of your stops along the way for your chance to win the prizes at the end of the ride.
Remember this isn’t a race so please don’t ride like the above picture, sit back be cool and relax and remember the rules of the road. Back on the road to your next stop, Classic Honda in Brampton where we will be entertained fed and o ya, the all important washroom breaks will also be made available for those who need the facilities. Once again don’t forget to get your next poker hand.
On to Orangeville through the Forks of the Credit and many other windy back roads to the Orangeville Court House. Here you‘ll learn a little bit of history about the old and the new addition to the court house. Drinks and light snacks will be available, and o ya, don’t forget to get your poker hand. From here we are going to head to our final destination, GlobalMedic’s Head Quarters in Etobicoke.
Here we’ll have the closing ceremonies and prizes will be handed out to the winners. To top it off, GlobalMedic volunteers will have a 22’ by 42’ Inflatable Field Hospital set up as well as water purification units that they use in the field during Disaster Relief deployments. You will be able to experience firsthand where you’re support is going. 100% of proceeds from the ride will go directly towards disaster programming as GlobalMedic operates on a zero overhead principle.
Volunteers are needed as well so don’t be shy, we need help at all the check points, the more the better. View ride information on the ride at www.globalmedic.ca/bikeride
