Marten River

The Marten River loop makes for an excellent Motorcycle Ride. Leaving North Bay head up to Marten River via HWY 11 North and travel approximately 45-50 minutes. You can stop at Rock Pine Motel & Restaurant for lunch or even dessert (they make excellent homemade pies). Continuing on your trip turn left on HWY 64 and head towards Sturgeon Falls Ontario (45-50 minutes) where you will have to stop for some of the best French Fries you'll ever taste. Sturgeon Falls is known for it's chip stands and the quality of their foods. Try their pogo's, fries or even their chicken sandwiches. mmmmmm

Make sure to check out "Larry's Chip Stand" or the "Riv Chip Stand" when in Sturgeon Falls. They are located directly across the street from Tim Horton's.

Here's a quick video of us leaving the Rest Area in Marten River on Hwy 64 - heading south into Field and Verner Ontario. I am using a GoPro Helmet HERO Wide Camera which is mounted on the left side of my Goldwing fairing. Mounted in this spot produces some of the smoothest motorcycle videos that I have captured. The quality of the GoPro Camera has really impressed me. I started using it in the spring of 2010 and throughly enjoying it.

Here's a quick video created using an Iphone4 of the rest stop just off Hwy 11 on Hwy 64. Great place to stretch your legs.
